I have been on this matter concerning the first storey building in Nigeria located in Badagry and the second storey building in Nigeria located in AWORI land. Every night and day I think about the story about the first and second storey building in Nigeria. If you check your Google about the two buildings. You will find out that the story found on google is totally confusing. Google stated that the first storey building laid a I have been on this matter concerning the first storey building in Nigeria located in Badagry and the second storey building in Nigeria located in AWORI land. in 1842 and finished construction in the year 1845 and the second storey building was built in the year 1842. This Year’s difference got me thinking and wondering if the first storey building was built in the year 1845 and second storey building was built in 1842 while then did they finalize that the one one Badagry is the first storey building and the one in AWORI land is the second.

My visit to CRIMMD to see Dr Raphael James brought me on the right track. After much discussion with him, he broke down history and finally told me and concluded that the building in Badagry and the one in AWORI is not closer to anything first storey building rather they are the colonial buildings built by the colonial masters. But not really certain with the building in AWORI which we are going into research to find out if the building in AWORI is also built by colonial masters. So therefore, The building in Badagry is the first colonial storey building in Nigeria and not the first storey building in Nigeria. The first storey building is found in the ancient city of the Benin empire but has been demolished after the attack by the British soldiers at about 1473.  At that time, the Benin empire was the strongest city in the world.
